Sadly my woman’s silent down jacket has mold growing on it. We live in Tn on a bus and the humidity and moisture must have taken a hold of it. Is there any remedy to this or is my baby ruined? Please help! :(

First off sorry to hear this! how good are you at sewing? also how valuable is the jacket? most dry cleaners can send it out for a down removal and wash just like with a feather pillow. or you can do it at home. but you will need a sewing machine and it will take some practice to get it right. a good DIY learning project for sure. or you can find a friend that sews and have them unstitch the moldy area and you can than clean it and apply clothing mold killer. as for the down just soap and water in a clean sink and apply anti mold to it. the fabric I would use woolite pet stain remover with oxy. in the future put it in on a hanger and place a trash bag over it and poke the hook out. sinch up the bottom gently. Or if it is in a drawer stor it between towels.
