I have the same issue with Aux connection, sound mute and come back randomly.

When you using Aux connection, is the speaker power plugged in?

Do you have the same issue if just by its battery?

Hi,

Do you mean the Onyx Studio 4?

Connecting audio via the 3.5mm aux in jack, using a stereo audio cable, should cut off the BT.

If it doesn’t do this then perhaps you can disconnect the antenna from the motherboard so that it can’t receive any BT signals that are being transmitted unless the BT host device is right on top of the speaker. The downside with this is that it will also prevent any WiFi connection to the speaker as they use the same antenna.

Here’s an image taken from a Onyx Studio 4 teardown video which shows where the antenna is connected to the motherboard.
