Laptop no longer works on battery

I have a Toshiba P55W-C5316 laptop and it only works on the charger now. It will not turn on without the charger and shuts off the moment its unplugged. It also shows up as fully charged in Windows and Here is some info from BatteryInfoView.

Try recalibrating the battery.

I note from your second image, it is showing 4,294,967,294 cycles.

Standard calibration via BIOS

  1. Power on the laptop and hit F2 at the boot screen to enter BIOS. Choose the Power menu using the cursor keys.
  2. Choose Start Battery Calibration and then press "Enter".
  3. The screen should turn blue. ...
  4. The laptopwill continue discharging until it automatically shuts down.

Hm, I don’t see anything named Battery Calibration or something similar in the BIOS. Here’s what I See in the Power Menu Section: https://ibb.co/vD2MjjN

@bh_j39200 how old is that battery? I would not rely on the diagnostics query but would replace the battery and then re-evaluate

The laptop isn’t even a year old so it can’t be that old.

I did not realize that I will update the BIOS and then come back and update you.

So we have a problem the bios updater from that link DOES NOT support Windows 10. It wont work for me its for WIndows 8 and below.

@bh_j39200 Your laptop doesn't have the option to do it in the BIOS using USB? My MSI, HP and Dell Lats do it - although Dell didn't always offer it. It was only added with the HSW series on the business side (EXX40) had it added in later BIOS updates and anything with the Broadwell CPU or newer (EXX50-present) did it on day 0 due to HSW inheritance, but Dell always did it within Windows using a payload and restart.

Check for the option closer. If your laptop lacks it, you got a horrible BIOS there. It's Toshiba, so I wouldn't be shocked.
