Battery not charging and random shutdowns (liquid damage)
Hi there,
I have a problem with my MacBook Air and it is due to liquid damage. I am wondering if there is a way to diagnose what is causing the issue without spending a fortune on parts?
the damage was years ago, around 2014. I am wondering if the shutdowns are being caused by the logic board or the battery, or maybe something else? I don’t care about having a new battery but if that would stop the random shutdowns then I wouldn’t mind replacing it. I only use it as a sofa laptop.
could I remove the battery and run it without it? I would assume that if the shutdowns are not because of the battery then I can just replace the logic board? Or could it be something else. Unless the shutdowns are normal behaviour with a battery less MacBook?
