Hi,

What is the model number of the dishwasher?

Does the dishwasher fill at all? If not have you checked the door latch switch?

door

@jayeff yes, it fills with no problem

@ Wendy

The full model number would really help, so that if parts are required the correct ones for the model can be linked.

Usually found on the door or just above the door on the inside

Why would you replace the water valve if the washer fills?

Why would you replace the drain components if it doesn't even get past the wash cycle?

If it fills but does not wash it could be the control. Some have a drain function. If that doesn't work, the control is highly suspect. If that works it could be a temp sensor where the wash cycle waits for the washer to heat the water to operating temp.

I replaced the water inlet valve because in the beginning, I didn't noticed any sitting water,

& Was told that it may not be getting any water, anyway it's all a learning experience for me, the part was not expensive, won't be.needed again, anyway now there's sitting water at the bottom

Hi,

Here’s the complete 8524517-Tech-Sheet.pdf

Scroll down the the section entitled RAPID ADVANCE SERVICE FEATURE AND DIAGNOSTICS CYCLES (on lower right side of p.2 to see how to get into the diagnostic mode).

Also under DISHWASHER CIRCUITS > WASH / RINSE it has the wiring schematic for the wash motor circuit that may be worth checking. Disconnect the power and use an Ohmmeter to check for continuity between the connection points between the different components and also the pump motor windings. The connection through the electronic control board can only be done with the power connected by using a voltmeter. Be safety aware if you decide to try this as there is lethal AC voltage testing involved. If you don’t know how to test safely then don’t do it!

I'm sorry but all that is out of my league, besides I don't have an ohmmeter

@Wendy

That's a shame but when it gets down to finding a particular fault in electrical equipment etc then having a DMM (digital multimeter) and knowing how to test with it safely is a pre-requisite.

Good luck
