No backlight
Hello.
After repairing a broken glass from an iPod touch 4, the backlight seems to disappear.
Now have no backlight at all.
Any suggestions? What could had been wrong?

Try to check your LCD connection that no pins are bent. Reseat the connector. That connector is very fragile and always be gentle when seating the connector as you can bend pins. Take a look at why I once lost backlight on a 4g Touch: https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/943721/1...
If it looks ok I would try to do a software reset. A lot of times you loose backlight or white screen if you reassemble and accidently have switched it on.

try unplug the battery and reset it first
if that didnt fix it
You can now get both backlight Coil and IC for less than 5$ each here

Right now it appears that you can not add anything to any repair or fix other then parts. Please use your profile to place your URL in there.
you need to change the coil, when the backlight blinks and finally dies thats usually the coil going bad due to moisture.

okay this is a soldering repair video on iphone 4S backlight coil
the whole soldering process is the same for ipod 4th

they might have done some mistakes in the wiring while removing the cracked screen. Or it might be something else.
