Hi. I ordered an iFixit battery last year to put in my daughter’s phone. Unfortunately she’s not much of a complainer, so I totally forgot to install it; the battery is still in its original package, stored at room temperature all year. Is the battery still any good and worth installing? I’m probably just going to try it, but wanted to see if anyone has specific guidance on that

I think this is perfectly ok. If the battery haven't been exposed to extreme change like hight temperature and low temperature or big humidity level it should be fine. In any case when you order your battery is been in Ifixit warehouse for months before you receive it. Also most of lithium battery are shipped and store a 50% of charge so they won't deteriorate or become unstable and if you don’t see any strange thing on the battery (swollen, bulging) and think you are good to go.
