Toshiba flashes and goes black. Logo does not appear.

Hello,

Basically my tv flashes a bright light and then reverts to black. I tried the reset where you unplug the tv and hold the power button for 30 seconds to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Granted the tv was manufactured in August of 2015 so it may be time to purchase a new set.

Also, when you turn it on the red light at the bottom bar by the Toshiba logo flashes red three times to signal that it's on.

@btn206 what flashes bright? The screen? Have you yet removed the back cover from your TV?

Remember that Toshiba is a terrible company that will get their ambulance chasing attorneys to come after anyone that has their service manuals or tries to repair their own devices. Absolutely paranoid and cutthroat when it comes to repair That means that service manuals are not available and repair options are limited to mostly complete boards replacements. Go for it and let's try to fix it. Next TV never Toshiba, Never VIZIO etc.

Thanks for the reply. I have not removed the cover. The screen does a single bright flash and then goes completely black. I agree on Toshiba. My next will be either Samsung or LG. Thanks!
