Phones such as the S8 can work on just about any carrier but if it’s locked to a certain carrier, you’ll need it unlocked. If you were the original owner of the device and paid it off, you can contact your carrier to get it unlocked or if you bought it used you can call up local shops that should be able to unlock it for you for a fee.
