iPhone 4 Display Assembly Replacement take a look at step 14...clearly states the reason for most loss of wifi signal after repairs..check your screws are in right (step 13 has a good tip) the clips are on the metal cover etc. That 4.8mm screw is important and so is the area that holds it in, take a good look for any damage there. You also need to make sure you have cleaned greasy fingerprints off your metal work.

Sounds like the phone was assembled incorrectly after repair. One of the cable under the screen is possibly not connected properly

Spot on. There are a lot of connections and tiny details that can be overlooked when re-assembling...or even connections that you swear you reconnected but just didn't reconnect fully. Try cleaning connections as you recheck everything.

A piece of aluminum can do the trick too :) just fold aluminum so it is approx. 8mm x 4mm x 1-1.5mm and place it under the screw and the round gold/metal piece right next to the screw.

Can you provide a picture? Does this completely repair your WIFI signal?

I posted WIFI Antenna 4.8mm Screw (Lost "nut" for it)

In one important post above it says, "That 4.8mm screw is important and so is the area that holds it in." I think I lost part of the "area that holds it in" and am now getting no WIFI signal.
