Backlight keyboard not working

Hi, i have an Asus Q550lf and the backlight for the keyboard is not working. All function keys work except the backlight one plus whenever i restart the computer the keyboard lights up then it turns off while restarting. I updated the ATK package and nothing. Also, when i get a code of “This program only works on ASUS computers” and “USB Charger Plus/ Failed to sync settings” this happened after i updated my computer any help?

I know lots of people who had problems with the function button after a windows update.

It goes like this:

Function button works normaly, as do most of the F keys along with it.

But one or two at a time, may not.

For me it was the vol+ vol- F buttons, my wife had the same issue with her Brightness+- buttons, etc.

Usually these tend to disappear with the next update, but it IS a reoccuring issue and it's kind of annoying.

@carlos57 once you installed the latest ATK package from ASUS, did you check Device Manager in Windows to verify that the driver linked to your hardware properly?
