Front-IO usb 2.0/3.0 only passes through power, no data

Hey, I got some problems with my front-IO usb connectors. They only pass through power, but no data. So I can charge my headset with it, but I cant seem to connect any type of lets say usb sticks. I tried several things, like checking the connection. But that hasn’t helped much. Its a brand new Corsair Crystal 680x case, so I suspect the ports are not broken in any way. Does anyone know a solution, or is there something I need to do in the bios?

Thanks!

Hi,

What is the make and model number of the motherboard where the case's USB ports are connected to?

Hi ,

Did you check in BIOS > Advanced > Integrated Peripherals > USB configuration that the USB Controllers have been enabled? To enter BIOS press the Del key between starting the computer and before it boots into Windows

Here’s a link to the motherboard manual. Go to p.3-8 to view what the USB settings do.

If the controllers are enabled, check in Device Manager to view the status of the USB controllers to check that they have been “found” by the Windows OS and installed OK. If you have Win 10 installed, right click on the Windows start button on the left side of the Taskbar and select Device Manager.
