I can not restore my iPhone due to error 1604

I dropped my iphone 3gs one day, and it appeared off... Wouldn't turn on, no apple logo, or anything. When plugged in to computer after holding down the home and power button for a moment apple logo appears and finally the symbol with the usb going to itunes... Itunes says apple is in recovery mode and I must restore....I go through the restoring process and get error 1604. There is NOTHING i can do to fix it... I've tried different computers, usbs, etc. please help! thank you!

K, I have come to this problem step by step, and it is clear to me what the real issue is. 1604 referred to an USB port problem, most likely the power it is able to provide. The iPad was discharged to much, and not shut down. What happenes is that the iPad starts automatically too early can't hold the needed current to stay awake and shuts down again. There are different solutions on the Internet, but mainly get the battery charged, or replaced. I am going to charge the battery from inside the case ( pain!)

Try a double Restore. Restore iPhone, if you get 1604 Error, keep iPhone connected. Quit iTunes, relaunch iTunes, Restore iPhone again, done. Hopefully it worked.

You must Quit and Restart iTunes between the 2 restores for this to work.

Thank you so much for replying to my question but I already tried that at least 10 times on two different computers (both PCS)...I tried it exiting out of itunes, stopping it in task manager, etc. And btw my Iphone was never jailbroken or anything.

Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.

Restore and wait for error 1604.

When prompted, click OK.

Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.

iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.

Try to restore again.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
