Surface Pro 4 boards with power problems. Anyone have experience?

I have a few bad boards that I am trying to refurb. Wondering if there are any techs out there that have experience with component level repair on these SP4s.

I have already fixed a few.

Had one with the known bad 0ohm resistor near CPU.

Had one with the known bad diode preventing it from running from battery.

Also had a few with 3.3v line shorted to ground. Two of them were the ITE bga chip shorted internally and another was a tiny capacitor on the backside of the board.

Now I am left with three boards that won't turn on but don't share any of the above faults.

Since I have working boards to compare to I have been probing around in diode mode. I found some difference between good and bad boards but don't really know what to make of it.

I don’t have any experience with refurbing component level issues but I am in need of a guide if you could be of any assistance. I believe I have a bad motherboard and do not understand the safe way to go about finding if the 0 Ohm resistor has gone bad. Could I use a multimeter to check for the resistance or could that potentially damage the board?
