Will my iPhone run with the antenna flex cable removed?

I have an iPhone 6 but I don’t want any wifi on it. I have learnt that the antenna flex cable is responsible for routing wifi, meaning if I remove it, I won’t have any wifi right? Will running the phone without the flex cable connected short out the circuit inside and damage the phone? And will other systems (eg calling and texting) run normally?

How about disabling Wifi off from settings and flag the request permission for network access needed ? It’s easier and would provide what you need. There’s no cable in an iPhone 6 that would prevent Wifi from working, the most you can achieve with removing the antenna is to reduce signal strenght, but if Wifi signal is strong the iPhone will catch it nonetheless. The only way to fully disable Wifi hardware wise is to remove critical components to the Wifi IC from the logic board, but that would be hard without tools and knowledge.

Which antenna are you talking about ? what do you mean by "work" ? of course it will work, antennae are not critical parts.
