Shutdown suddenly. It works only with SMC reset (every time)
Hello All,
I have a Macbook Pro 2017 15" with TouchBar (late-2017) version. So battery is non-removal.
My MBP is not open properly. It goes to shutdown when Apple Logo appears. (some time It goes to shut down after loading bar filled %70-%80)
I could only start it with SMC Reset (Control+option+shift+...+power button)
I don’t know why but I tested;
- nvram reset
- OS reinstall (So I am using Catalina now yes)
- disk repair (w & w/o recovery mode)
- AHT - Diagnostic tool (Power Btn+D)
When I check Power Management Logs from system information / Logs Tab.
I saw an error message when i try open mac properly (just pressing power button), "SMC shutdown cause: 0: Battery disconnected".
I investigate to SMC Firmware update because it might be broken but it's not possible latest mac's smc firmware update or reinstall.
- I investigated to Power Management Logs, here is it;
2019-10-17 20:24:19 +0300 ShutdownCause SMC shutdown cause: 0: Battery disconnected
Sleep/Wakes since boot at 2019-10-16 12:02:49 +0300 :17 Dark Wake Count in this sleep cycle:1
Cause looks like “SMC shutdown cause: 0: Battery disconnected “
It doesn’t make sense, I don’t have any problem battery because after I opened to Mac with SMC Reset, I could use my mac without charging until battery left.
