Blank screen and 2 beep on startup

According to this website a 2 beep error code is a RAM failure.

Try removing/replacing the memory modules and test if the laptops starts OK.

Don’t know your laptop but if you have more than 1 module try starting the laptop with only 1 module inserted and see if it works. If it still doesn’t work, try the other memory module in the same slot. If it still doesn’t work try the other module, first in one slot and then in the other.

All this is trying to determine if you have a faulty memory module or a faulty memory slot or both.

Here’s a link to the service manual for your laptop. Scroll to p.15 to view the necessary pre-requisite step sand then the procedure to remove / replace the memory modules.

Remember to disconnect the power and to remove the battery EVERY TIME before removing and replacing the memory modules to avoid further damage to the laptop.
