Play Store App Download issue

I have the T-Mobile revvl, Alcatel one touch fierce 5049w and for the past two weeks, if I go into the Google play store to download an app, it doesn't download because it says that is waiting for wifi. I am connected to Wi-Fi and the only other option is to click underneath it where it says download anyway, charges May apply. I have not changed or even going into my cell phone settings, Google or Google play store settings since I got the phone quite a few months ago n I got everything set up. Like I said, this has been doing this for about 2 to 3 weeks and I click on download anyway. Does anybody know why it tells me that it has to wait for wifi and that download anyway and that charges May apply is the only other option that I have in order to get what I need? They are not game apps or anything unnecessary or else I would not be searching for what I need and downloading them anyway. Thanks for anybody's help! It's been nothing short of frustrating…lol

Are you sure you're connected to Wi-Fi and not your cellular provider only? Try going to Play Store > Settings (in sidebar) > App download preference > and choose Over any network

Yes, I am definitely connected to WiFi and I've sent feedback on Google instant apps keeps shutting down and with this charges may apply for the past few weeks, will it charge if I put it on to your suggestion? Reason I ask, is because since I had sold our house, I'm now 47, but had opted to move into my parents and they have me on their plan. I'm just now getting back on my feet because obviously, it's been tough n I'm slowly getting back out to work. My poor father has a meltdown if even a quarter is extra on the bill. Haha

You are the mannn!!!!

The "you will be charged" is a generic message, if you'll actually be charged depends on your cellular data plan. Do you have unlimited data or a high limit data plan?

If you click this link on your phone, does it show an update available? https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai... If so, update Google Play Services.

Yes, unlimited data, texting, ect....I'll check the link. I keep sending out the feedback that the instant apps keeps shutting down and they do nothing!

Some basic troubleshooting steps you can try, in order:

  1. Check your router, it could be an issue with your WiFi network. Try it on another WiFi network and see if the error still comes up.
  2. Clear Google Play’s cache:
    1. Open Settings
    2. Click on “Apps” or “Applications Manager”
    3. Find Google Play in the list and click it
    4. Click Clear Cache
    5. Try downloading an app
  3. Clear Google Play Services’s cache:
    1. Open Settings
    2. Click on “Apps” or “Applications Manager”
    3. Find Google Play Services (looks like a puzzle piece) in the list and click it
    4. Click Clear Cache
    5. Try downloading an app?
  4. Delete Google Play’s data: This will probably sign you out of Google Play, so you’ll need to sign in again…
    1. Open Settings
    2. Click on “Apps” or “Applications Manager”
    3. Find Google Play in the list and click it
    4. Click Clear Data

Hopefully one of those options works for you. Right now I’d probably lean towards some WiFi issue rather than a problem with your phone…

Luckily you have unlimited data anyways, so there shouldn’t be a big deal if you do need to just use mobile data :)

You can try to download it after connecting the wifi and then open the play store so you can Downloadtimecalculator the app. You can also try reinstalling the app store from google.
