Hi,

What is the full model number of the washer?

What happens when you select cold water only? Does the hot water come out or no water at all?

Try swapping the water hoses over so that the cold is connected to the machine’s hot water inlet and the hot water to the machine’s cold water inlet and see what happens.

If no cold water comes out when “hot” water wash is selected then there is a problem with the cold water hose (is tap on?) and possibly the filter at the end of the hose that connects to the machine may be blocked with sludge.

If cold water comes out when “hot” water wash is selected this proves that the cold water hose and filter are OK.

If no hot water comes out when “cold” water wash is selected then there may be a problem with the cold water inlet solenoid in the machine.

If you search online for (insert full model number) parts you will get results for suppliers of the parts that have exploded diagrams showing the part locations and their cost.

Hi jayeff,

I'm having this same problem with our washer. My situation is the:

"If no cold water comes out when “hot” water wash is selected..."

I was hoping you could help out by providing any other troubleshooting instructions.

Issue: When selecting Cold, Warm, OR Hot water, only hot water comes out of the washer.

Steps taken to Fix:

-Removed cold water hose and cleaned out inlet valve and filter.

-Removed cold water hose from back of washer, and turned on cold water hose and verified cold water is flowing through the hose(but when you connect it to the washer, cold water doest want to come out)

Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

UPDATE: I read your troubleshooting post for a similar issue here

Why no cold water?

I swapped the hoses and cold water is now coming out regardless of me setting the wash cycle to Hot or Cold. So I'm thinking it may be the something in the interface that doesn't know when to switch it to hot or cold.

@mr_jun1or

With most washers there's a cold and hot water inlet solenoid valve that is opened depending on the selected wash temps.

Also most only ever use cold water to rinse and not warm (hot+cold) or hot, so maybe try a rinse cycle only and check if cold water enters

Can't find any parts/service info for the model, only user manuals but is there a model number somewhere on the washer?

I think that it may be something like 796.315????? perhaps.

If so knowing the full number may help as there are a fair number within the range but they don't all share the same part numbers or service manuals

FYI if it is in the series then it's a rebadged LG machine

@jayeff Hello,

So I attempted to switch the entire solonoid assembly out to see if that fixed the problem. And still no luck. I found the model number on the back of the washer, it is 31553.610

Here is a link to what the washer looks like:

https://www.americanfreight.com/br/pdp/k...

This is the solenoid I purchased from Amazon that matches the same one on the washer(replacing this didn’t solve the problem) :

AJU75152601 AJU73213301 Water... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08291FNP5?ref...

To recap the issue: Hot water is only coming out of the washer on a Rinse cycle, wash cycle, or any cycle. Regardless of what I set the temperature to. The only way I can get cold water to come out is if I switch the hoses in the rear of the washer ( Hot to cold; And Cold to Hot )

I’m not sure of what other part it could be other than the solonoid. Let me know whatcha think!
