iPhone 6s screen replacement not closing properly near the top

I recently replaced the digitizer assembly as per the guide here on ifixit, and ordered the replacement part from ifixit as well, and in the process discovered that the chassis is actually bent near the top. So after replacement the digitizer and it working (yay!), I realized once I tried closing it up that the screen doesn’t sit flush near the top of the phone (where the camera is), and I think this may be because the phone is bent? I don’t want to push too hard on the screen to force it into position… Has anyone had this happen? I’m not quite sure what to do as I don’t want to leave the phone open like this. Unfortunately I only had the one set of adhesive.

Gekozen oplossing

If the iPhone is bent and screen is not fitting flush in a relatively short time you’ll end up having issues with the digitizer. Logic board also suffers in a bent housing and may develop problems to the bigger chips inside too. Best thing you could do is to remove the logic board if you think you can straighten the housing, otherwise find a used one, relatively easy to find, and move your logic board in that one. Do not try to fit the screen in the bent housing by any means.
