Dear Tatazi.

Frp lock never effect on Firmware flashing

please use proper tools and firmware then flash it.

after successful flashing. you can unlock frp lock.

if you want know more about this.

please kindly attach some screenshot.

All the best

That's a bit exaggerated or shall I say improperly explained. If OEM is locked you can't use Odin3 to flash the device. It will fail. Go to recovery mode and reset the device to factory which should reset the OEM setting. Some devices have a repair apps in the recovery menu. After resetting the device you then have to clear FRP. (Google account factory reset protection).

Custom Binary Blocked by FRP lock, red text on bottom right of screen will occur on reboot / turn on as you have said when OEM unlock is not enabled and is set on disabled instead.

To get past that you’ll need to reflash a stock Samsung Rom (Match phone model SM-G928x) that is at least the same or newer version firmware back onto the phone. You’ll end up losing all data as if you have flash root / custom recovery files before it means that the data on the phone was setup as not being encrypted and when you flash back a stock rom it enforces encryption so it wont let you boot the phone up normally without factory resetting / wipe data the phone afterwards in recovery mode.

It is possible to remove FRP lock to let phone boot without factory resetting it / flashing with the use of a gsm flash box like Z3X tools but that costs money to get.

You can download firmware using either of the 3 options:

  • Download from Sammobile.com
  • Download from Updato.com
  • Download with the use of the program called SamFirm

Wow Ben, have you ever actually been in a Custom Binary Lock?

door

Yes, plenty of times. Also with clients too when it comes to the patch certificate + root option on Z3X GSM flash/unlock box.

I only ever see this message if someone tries to flash any custom flash file via ODIN. Enabling OEM unlock in developer options avoids this error popping up.

Well that's intresting Because the answer you give isn't quite that simple in most cases. Are you familiar with XDA Developers? You can find me there explaining this and how it works. My first question to you and this should be glaringly obvious, to you, that you are out of your league in explaining this here, and are simply guessing at this. I would suggest doing some research on the subject before offering guessed at input. How do you expect anyone to turn off the OEM unlock when they are in Binary Locked Mode? The Custom Binary Lock prevents the device from accessing those menus where you could turn on or off the OEM Bootloader. And the Binary lock actually has little to do with that as far as you may need to turn it on or such. You missed the mark entirely! I will offer to direct anyone to my post on XDA Developers for a "non guessing" explaination. Sorry Ben it is what it is. https://forum.xda-developers.com/general...

Oh, you're going to GSM? That explains it.

When you turn on your Android phone and see “Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock” in red color at the top of the screen, you might get confused and be clueless about it. This error usually occurs at the screen on which the phone’s logo/model number appears and it will not boot up beyond this stage. It also appears when you try to boot to the recovery which gets redirected to a screen that tells you you’re custom binary blocked. You cannot use recovery, cannot do a reset, nothing! You can access Download Mode but you can’t seem to flash firmware. Commonly most devices require a “Binary 4 FRP Unlock” file which you flash via Odin3 . Put it in the AP section and flash it. This will reset the device.

Your the only person who's been able to explain my situation I got on Google find my fon accidentally wiped it. Then custom binary blocks frp unlock.

Months before that happened I did notice the imei on outside cover of sg 6edge + was different from wat in the settings say.

I haven't messed with it because I want to somehow recover pic videos. I know that if I try to fix it to operate it would be overwriting the deleted content making it imposible. I just need to know if it's possible to get that data back pictures videos I don't care for fon.

I'm not sure and would have to investigate to give an actual truthful answer. Most of the time no unfortunately. Flashing invovles reprogramming so yes would overwrite the data. If you are familiar with ADB (Android Device Bridge) it may be possible, try reading into that.

To those of you who may be suffering from this Binary Blocked by FRP Lock mode yu may need to be aware this work is still in progress. Not all devices have been fixed at this time and there are some that we are still working on. This block usually comes from a result of trying to flash a device to Root it and/or run a different ROM. Those methods used bad or corrupt files that overloaded the Binaries that the device runs from This is the operating system of your device and why you may now be in Binary lock. My post that can be found on XDA Developers tries to offer what infomation I have found and used to get past this difficulty myself. But in most cases offers some understanding of this and how it can be fixed. If you have made it this far in your research to correct this difficulty for yourself or a friend I will offer a link to my post and bring an end to all the useless searching you may have done so far. I have more than one post about this subject in the forum which are difficult to find for people that are not familiar with our forum. But here is my personal post about this. Please note that the files needed for each device are specific to that device. Good luck
