Replaced screen but it registers false touches

I've replaced my screen twice already and both times, the ipad acts as if I'm touching the screen in various areas when I'm not.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the emi tape or possibly the fact that I broke the little plastic tabs that hold the digitizer ribbon cable. Although broken I was still able to get them to lock down the ribbon cable.

I've tried a hard reset and no difference. Help!!!

gilatene, my first instinct says that it is the connection of your digitizer to the logic board. Make sure that it is straight inserted and properly seated and connected. I imagine that the broken clip can cause your digitizer ribbon to not make proper contact. Try to reinsert it and see what you get. Good Luck and let us know how it is going.
