diesel6060 no it will not. The ID is part of the firmware not the HDD

are you asking because you are changing the HDD or because you want a new ID? Your ID is your own. You can create a new ID anytime you like.

Because im replacing the hdd . I wanted to know whats going to happen when i do .

When you replace the hard drive, you will have to plug your iPod into your computer and use iTunes to restore the iPod.
