Canon Rebel T3I won’t turn on with SD Card inserted

My T3I won’t turn on with 64 gb Sandisk 100 speed SD card inserted. It would be working fine until I insert the card then it’ll shut off and won’t cut back on until I take out the battery and put it back in without the SD card inserted. Any help??

Hi T Svpreme,

Had you tried with another card? inspect the SD card slot and door for any debris.

I heard from a camera service center @ canon, if the SD card door has issues e.g. not closing properly or micro switch sensor does not capture... it can cause the camera not to turn on.
