Asus X541U not turning on when the battery is on but works with AC.
So, I do laptop repairs on my free time, and this week Ii got an Asus X541U which was reported to have shutdown after windows updates and wouldn't turn on.
After cleanup I tried booting it without the battery and it worked.
Then I reassembled it with the battery and it did turn on, but after shutting it down it wouldn't turn on again.
Once again I removed the battery and the machine worked fine.
So I thought the battery was the culprit, so I ordered a replacement and put it in the machine.
This time it booted to the Asus logo, turned off and then booted back on and went in to windows, i let it charge, restarted it with no issue, but once I turned it off now it won't turn on again.
So when the battery is "cold" it works but once it's "hot" it won't... I would power reset it but the battery is internal and I have to remove most of the screws of the mobo to get it out...
has anyone else experienced such a behaviour from a laptop of this model or a different one?
Is dit een goede vraag?

Never mind, I think I found the source of the problem, it seems to be liquid damage

Where did you get the battery from?

I bought it locally it's a generic part, but both the original battery and the generic produce the same outcome
