Has anyone got this lifeline phone from Qlink?

I'm new to lifeline and Qlink. Im still waiting for the phone to come in the mail. It was sent 5/22/18 I've been using the tracker but that hasn't been giving me any new info. It says it's being shipped to USPS for induction. I checked USPS and they still don't have it. This was three days ago it was being shipped to USPS. It's estimated to be here tomorrow, but it's Memorial day tomorrow. How long did it take you guys to get the phone? Do you guys like it? I saw so many bad reviews for Qlink as well as all the other lifeline companies. I hope I have a good experience. Thank you guys!

I received my phone very timely. I would suggest that you contact QLink customer service and discuss your delivery issue. I am very pleased with the service of the phone. My only complaints are that it is only 3G and it is rather slow. Also, the memory is extremely limited.

get the biggest sd card it will hold I think its 32 gig & also get an app to make this android 7.0.0.1 OS to use the SD card since without that app it hasn't got enough space to do anything then dump all the Qulixar BS & get an app to use as the Launcher like CM Launcher to avoid all the Qulixar BS the Qlink Launcher throws at you, I like the CM Launcher some for the pet found to the left of the home screen then down the page a bit & for how well it works, but honestly I am checking on the new one they offer the ZTE3001s to see If Ill spend another 25 to replace this one which is OK but could always be lots better anyway I am unsure what I'll do for now since I am writing this reply before checking out the spec's on their newest device offering. Either way I will be using the CM Launcher from Now On.

3 days is not a long time to wait for your Q link phone. Of course that is business days, memorial day is not a business day. But, the mail is a living intety and moves no matter what, it may not be delivered on time, but, it is waiting. I have inovati email and I had no matter idea that my phone was on its way. Be patient. It is a great phone worth waiting for, just not Alot of memory compasity.

They used to give out the ZTE N817 which was a hilariously underpowered and just plain terrible phone. Now they have the N818S which is a VAST improvement, and really not terrible at all. The storage is still pretty limited but much better and you can actually install more than 10-15 apps unlike the N817.

It was WELL worth the $25 to upgrade and I highly recommend it. I can actually live with this phone for a long time while I save up to buy a really nice one that is also compatible with their service.

HELLO, I just ordered a Q Link phone and im praying that it will hold apps that won't crash like some others have indicated. Maybe it depends on the person who refurbished it. I SO not a social media person, but I need to be able to keep up with my teenage kids on these apps. like snap, Facbeook and insta. How many apps do the phones hold? Both with out the upgrade. with the asumotion no pictires are taken and stored, do you think? Im phone literate, so hwhat is the term used for the amount of pace the phne has? is it GB OF RAM? ISs that he samr as memory? Can I keep my old number? I know its free and im not ungrateful, but whats the point of having, outside of calling 911, it if its crap?

I love mine, I never had any problems yet. It will hold and work great with the apps you mentioned. On qlink website they have an option to keep your number I'm not sure how it works but liik and read it on thier site. I was surprised with how good it is for being a free phone. You can also add memory with your own memory card

I have a ZTE 3001S. I've searched every website I can think of trying to find a dam case to fit this phone with no luck. The ZTE N818s cases comes the closet but that to is hard to find. Why Qlink give out cells that we can't find cases for is beyond me.

I have a ZTE 3001S. I had problems connecting to facebook and called Q link. After hours of trying I finally succeeded and he fixed my problem however I deleted facebook of phone because he said there was a problem with app. Then after I deleted it I couldn't reload it because there is not enough space. I bought another 32GB card and installed but still can't load anything on my device.

I got mine pretty quick but the phone itself is a horrible piece of junk. It's a VERY old phone (If you want to upgrade they will sell you another ZTE for $25 but it's at least 6 years old) My phone is so slow, if I had an emergency I would die before I could make a 911 call. Sometimes it take 1/2 hour to get to the dial function. Apps keep crashing (Plus there is NO room to put any apps at all on this) I know it's free and all but to me that really isn't worth the hassle.

Amen. This one of the worst phones I've ever seen. I was given the n9521 when I first joined qlink. it was a nice phone large screen. but the new 818 by ZTE is a 3-g device and a tiny screen qlink sucks.

Just received my q link phone. Came with a ton of data already used. Haven't used and I'm at my limit. Customer service was no help wanted me to purchase more data. I'm not doing that without even using yet. It's a free phone but can't use because not enough data. Waste of time very angry, and customer service were the worst.

Paid for phone on February 1st and phone never arrived. When I asked them to contact the shipper they said they have no contact for them!!!!!!!! You just pay somebody who nobody knows or can contact and there is no way to check on status! What kind of spam is this????? Does anybody know where these phones are coming from? Qlink does not know! I got the nuu X6 Plus it's a piece of junk can't seem to get to speak to an American person about this is our government paying foreign people for this junk I paid $110 for this phone I can't get another one and I can't get to speak to a American person and they want you to verify multiple times who you are but they can't verify who they are is this why I've been getting scammed so much this year if I had to depend on this to be my lifeline I would be dead by now they want all of your information then they scam you and you can't get nothing back in return

My ZTE phone is through the free government cell phone plan. If your on the plan remember, all they give you is 1gig every month. I don't use bluetooth. If you're not on the government plan, while I've had no problems I wouldn't purchase a ZTE phone. There are far, far better phones out there.

Yes!!! Mine will not stay connected to Wi-Fi and it's driving me nuts!!! I have tried multiple possible fixes that I found online, other than doing a factory reset but none of them have worked!!!! I'm thinking it may be something to do with one of their factory apps now that I see I'm not the only person having this issue, I'm guessing maybe a recent update or something... Well I just sent qlink an email a few hours ago regarding this issue hopefully they get back to me if they do I'll let you know... If you happen to come across a fix for this issue before I find something just let me know.

Same phone same stupid a$$ wifi problem since day one. It's a bug in Android 7.1.1 and this zte phone. There is a fix with 7.1.2 but qlink won't update the phone because then it would allow people to use wifi unlimited and not have to constantly buy more data from them. I'm pretty sure its a 'racket' they are running. Had the phone for 8months now and have never been able to stay on wifi for more than 15 secs. So sick of it. Called to have them replace the phone and they referred me to the zte company for a replacement and guess what......zte says qlink doesn't carry that phone so I can't get a new one, but obviously qlink is the one that sent me the %#*@ phone!!!!! Like I said it's a racket company siphoning from people.

Also this is not the only issue. It also turns my data saver off when ever it feels like it, therefore causing the phone to download and update all kinds of bs wasting my little data that I have. It will also turn off my battery saver at random times. I have the utmost minimal apps on the phone and it runs worse than an old 386dx PC. Cell service also randomly works, will say I have no internet but at the top of screen and in settings it says LTE 5bars. Fess up qlink

My issue is $ missing off my debit card, payable to Q-link&started when I locked myself out of my phone & needed a code to unlock it.

Qlink said they dont give out codes anymore & I needed to buy a new phone.

I gave my debit card info to get a new phone@$25.

Last Oct,$45 was taken,$5 in Dec&$8.50 today.

Online chat"david" only sees $25 pmnt for new phone. They asked for dates $ was taken. Told me to call &talk to a rep.

I know I wont reach a "real" person when I call.

On lifeline program. I never use all my mins, texts or data. I did not order"bundle" pk.I do not use internationally. No reason $ should leave my account to go to Q-link. I have auto pmnts set up for other bills & due to $ disappearing from my acct by Q-link, I don't always have enough to cover my other bills. It's been about every 2 mths-Oct, Dec & Feb.

I have no answers, but I hope someday I will.

I intend to get a refund somehow.

It took me 2 weeks to get the phone after shipping. After receiving the phone, the Bluetooth keeps turning off. I contacted the manufacturer and sent the phone back for repairs. You need an ad card, because there is only 1G of internal memory uses 90% of it. Hope this helps.

Having an SD card does help but if you are installing a bunch of apps that are non-transferable to that SD card, it would be as if you didn't have an SD card to begin with. If that's the case, once you use up your phone's internal memory, there's nothing you can do.

I usually clear my cache and take off any apps I don't use. I also force stop apps which are running in the background. Recently I received an email stating I will be getting a new phone for free because they were going to the 5G network. The email also said I would be getting an email stating when it will be shipped. That's been a month ago and no email. I kind of doubt this is going to happen.

It took few months before I got my first phone when I started qulink.But when I bought a replacement phone it only took a week or two.

You must call and actually speak to a live person and tell them you will cancel if no phone delivered in 7 days. They will quickly EXPEDITE your phone order and you will have it really quickly. That's what I did and I had my phone delivered at my home in 3 business days. Threaten to cancel and order SafeLink and you'll get extra fast service. Good luck to you!!

I rarely will write a review but when I looked this site up to see if others had same issues I was having, I felt I had to share my experience with others. ‘You get what you pay for’ is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the horrible ZTE N817. Although your first phone is free, any replacement phone thereafter will cost you $25.00. I am currently on replacement phone #5 in the span of 2 years. All issues were due to manufacture problems or phone system malfunctions. Not once did I need to replace my phones due to error or mis-use on my part. If the government is offering free cellphone service, then that’s what you should get, but this isn’t the case. Appx half of the time, my phone will just load & load after dialing a number. I’ve had times where it will finally put my call through after 30 minutes (or longer),- whereas I’ve long set the phone down & forgotten bout the call only to faintly here someone saying hello because the call finally went through! And by all accounts, the phone appeared to be off with no indication that it was still trying to call out after I pressed the home button & then turned the screen off. This is just but one minor issue with these phones out of way too many. It’s a big scam as far as I’m concerned & that’s how they get their big bucks! And customer service is a joke if you are trying to get any useful help at all! I’ve been given the run around countless times now and I’m pretty sure that they are all given instructions to frustrate the customer so badly that instead of getting their issue resolved, they just find it easier, faster, & much less of a hassle to just go ahead & order a replacement phone! Who cares if your replacement phone comes with the minutes & data plan already used up for the month. Who cares if it randomly calls up people on your phone, like your boss @ 2am in the morning. Who cares if that free 1gb of data is unusable because the phone only loads & loads & loads, never actually getting into an app! That’s providing if you can actually get to download an app! Being grateful implies there’s something to be grateful for. I’m sick of people bashing others because the government was nice enough to give us a free phone & free service when, at least in my case, has barely been useable & has not been so free at all! With what I’ve paid in replacement phones in 2 years, I might as well have bought a nice phone & saved myself all the hours of frustration, hassle, & near death experiences without phone service! Oh wait! I am grateful! I’m grateful it only took me two years to find out what a scam this whole thing is so I can knowingly give people my referral to go to any other company for their free phone service besides qlink, because, as my most recent of issues has been, you will be a lifetime customer whether you want it or not & you won’t be able to opt out to go to a different company, as it’s suggested in their fine print because once you mention that, all contact from customer service ceases. Im with you Jenny... its b.s to pay for upgrade bc this one is useless, calling ppl even when you arent even touching it.... called my bf at work, so he stopped working to call me back, and I was just laying there not even touching the phone which was on the desk, WTF!! and I got to wonder sometimes when I get calls from random ppl IDK who are telling me they never called me?! WTH is that?! It seems to me, that qlink is a gov't spy phone, and that is the reason it comes with the best minutes, so everyone will want one, and so.... getting your own phone to use with qlink... bet there is a clause in there about how you are agreeing to allow qlink to "spy"..... worry abt making a phone call and hope that while you are talking to your doctor it doesn't call some random number in your phone while you are.... yea that was &&^&^$^ wierder than the voicemail of my voicemail?! BS junk just to make sure you dont miss important interviews and appt's. DISGUST not thanx

I added an SD to the phone but it only works for pictures and video storage.

Is there a way to add more space for apps. I can not install any apps whatsoever after the recent update. I had to delete all my apps from the z818s. It has no space for any apps once you do mandatory updates

What helps is if you uninstall google apps like, Drive, google photos, google play music, google newsstand, etc. I think you'll be able to access the information from some of those apps on your Chrome browser. That way you aren't having each app occupying your phone's internal memory.

U can pay an extra$10 a total of$35and get an inch and a half longer phone.But can someone tell me exactly what person it is I need to talk with to get a replacement phone.i purchased my explosively free phone n February and only a couple of weeks after receiving then it froze up.i understand things like this can happen.But Qlink gives me the number to - ZTE the ones that make the phones for them stating"sounds like u need a repair job."Not only to discover they also inform me that "there's a catch to it" O really so I replied? "You've got to on à lap top computer n order to fill out all the information needed to hàve a repair job done on your extended inch and half $35 free phone.!Listen...somethings not adding up people Because if I had a laptop computer n my possession.i doubt very seriously I would b asking for a free phone! Q Link sent me a Z3001s which I activated in May, but even though I could receive calls, I could not initiate an outgoing call. I asked two knowledgeable people for help, and they couldn’t find what was wrong. Online “support” is a website form that generates an e-mail telling you to call their 855 number, which is a robot that does nothing for you. During the last call, it told me I had used all my 1000 minutes, and I needed to buy more. I rather suspect this funny business is just a moneymaking racket.

Thank you for answering! It took a week.. I was surprised cause of all the bad reviews I seen after I ordered. What kind of phone did you replace with? I was sent the ZTE N818s I like the phone.. have had no problems. My friend got one too. I been helping her figure stuff out and showing her little tips and tricks.

take the back cover off. Take battery out. There is and area in the left upper corner of where the batter sits. place the SD on this spot while gently sliding the top portion of the SD into this area. If you look close, you can see a tiny picture of an SD card, indicating the area.

Does anyone know about the Qlink Call History log? Im trying to see numbers that I forgot to save before deleting off my phone, and it only seems to show numbers I’ve saved, b/c alot of them are 0 minutes and were saved so it isn’t from not answering calls…. Qlinks site barely even mentions it, so I was wondering if anyone has tested this and can answer me??

QLINK is horrible. The phone doesn't work very good. There response to any problem is upgrade to a new phone for $75 or bring your own. I have there service less than a year. When somebody calls me the phone always hangs up on them or its garbled. Not the phone doesn’t work at all. never again.

I have a ZTE Z3001S the phone works good as long as you know what your doing! You need a 16GB SD chip plug in for more ram. Some apps will not work unless you have one. The Google play, after factory reset as fast as you can, goto google play & setting turn off app updates. That’s a must!!!

Hate to hear alot of people are having problems with the ZTE N818s.I just got mine from QLink.So far mine is working ok,I'm in southern Ohio.I had switched from Assurance, because that phone was terrible, wouldn't let me receive or make calls, would freeze,cut me off if I did make or receive a call .Terrible experience in an emergency situation.Anywho hoping everyone finds a decent phone,hard being without for sure.

They are not bad for the most part it works good for a free phone and all I know it didnt take long for me to get my phone at all it was at my place in about three days now a problem my battery won't hole a charge I been trying to find a replacement one but no luck yet I can find battery for all the ZTE phones but this model on the web site they will only show me a replacement charger which I know works i have looked on Ebay and other places and find everything but this model may have to buy replacement phone for 25.oo so good luck

I've been with them nearly a year. This is absolutely premium service. I haven't had any issues with Q-Link Wireless whatsoever. I highly recommend this company for all of your Lifeline needs. It's hard to beat, 1,000 minutes and 1MB of data completely FREE. I love it!!!

I have been having issues getting the WiFi to stay connected... It's driving me crazy! I'm about to toss this piece of crap where it belongs, in the garbage. Most of my calls won't go through and when I receive a call it takes so long to connect the person calling usually hangs up! Can't say I blame them. Sending a message is a whole other story, sometimes it will say sent but it's days later before the other party receives my message or it doesn't go through at all. Instead of this junky phone why can't they send something a little better? I would gladly pay the difference for something that will work! God forbid I have a accident or something, I would be dead or missing for days before anyone would receive a call or text from that crappy phone. Anything would be better than this piece of crap!

I lost my qlink internet and been trying for a week to talk to someone but I to can’t talk to no live person no mater how many times I call or what time. SEEMS NO WAY TO GET HELP by phone or emails I purchased a upgrade phone after the free one quit working. Now it”s not working!.

Do they cut your phone off while your new phone is shipping? The same day I got the notice that my new phone is "on the way" my original existing phone stopped working. Outgoing calls go to an external network. Data displays "error 67" and text message won't send. I've tried all the trouble shooting steps listed in the Help section. Emails are auto-answered, phone calls keep disconnecting so that I can never speak to a human being. It makes sense that they turned it off because they activated my new phone but heck I don't know, I'm missing important calls and I have nobody to ask. Anyone know?

It took mine about 3 weeks. I would like to make everyone aware that should you need, for whatever reason, a new phone from Qlink, they will shut off the service you have on the phone in your hand, until the new one arrives.

I have qlink as well, it has been a year or so I believe. I brought my own phone with them and it's been good for the most part, the problem I'm having is, if I'm not connected to wifi and I'm using data on the phone even if I have plenty of data to use, about every hour or so it will completely stop loading whatever I am doing and in the top left corner of my screen a ? With the service bars shows up, when I check notifications it says sign in to service which at that point I can't. Then between 5 and 10 minutes later it's back to normal again until the next hour. I don't understand why it does this and it is driving me crazy!

I placed an order about a month ago for a new phone. It's costing me about $199. They're charging a $25 fee to buy the phone. The free phone they sent has very little memory/storage. It's very slow, just like Qlink!

I would suggest calling & emailing them at least once a week, to remind them you're still waiting. To keep the service, your supposed to make at least one call every 30 days. So, if waiting a couple months for the phone, is it possible that service will be deactivated because no calls made for 30 days? I've sent 2 emails a week, for last 2 weeks. I have not received any response yet, after 4 emails.

I do. It's not working and they put a new s im card in out and I can't call out get calls or voicemail.

It took qlink 6 months to send me my phone and they sent me the ZTE QUEST 5 and it's the biggest hunk of crap I have ever seen all it does well is crash I just signed up with cintex wireless you get to pick a phone they are older phones but anything is better than the ZTE QUEST 5
