Hi guys, quick question:
Two days ago I noticed my homebutton would only work when my iPhone was unlocked.. A few hours later I got notified by my iPhone that Touch ID was not longer working. The next day the homebutton became totally unresponsive. I opened the phone to reconnect flexcables etc but nothing worked. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Is there a possibility it could be water damage?
The degradation of functionality over time could be caused by corrosion if water had got in.

This is probably the case either the home button is liquid damaged or the cable is physically damaged.
Hmm, could very well be... I guess I need to install a new homebutton. Too bad Touh ID wont work anymore. Tnx for your help!
