iPhone 6 has no touch ID after a screen replacement

I recently did quite a routine repair on an iPhone 6 screen. However, after the screen was placed in and the phone powered on (yes with original home button) there was no touch ID. i then tested the sensor with the old screen to see if it was an issue with the ribbon cable behind the screen and the same error message popped up. there are no visible tears to the home button flex cable or damage to the logic board also.

It doesn't take much to damage the Home button. If you have access to a magnifying glass or jewelers loupe, look at the flex cable within the Home button again. All it takes is a tiny tear on the edge to seal its fate.

Yeah looked over it with a magnifying glass fairly sure the cable is intact
