How to take apart a controler for x-box!

You're gonna need some security torx bits and some plastic wedges. I recommend the iFixit pro kit since it'll come with everything you need and everything you'll ever need to fix or take apart anything.

There are screws to remove to take apart the xbox one controller,

they are hidden underneath the both grip panels.

You're gonna need a flat head screw driver to begin prying the panels, and don't worry about breaking the panels off since they are clipped on. Start anywhere you like, I recommend starting from the trigger and moving down to the end and back.

Once you begin prying them, you can use your fingers, guitar pick, gift cards, any plastic wedges to keep the panels from snapping back into place.

After the panels are off, you'll need to use security torx to remove the screws and once they're off you have taken apart the controller!!

If you want to completely take everything apart you have some standard phillips screw to remove the PCB board and don't forget to remove the triggers and bumpers while you're removing the board.

The hard part begins with the two layers of circuits that are not only held down by some small screws, they are also wired to the motors which would require to be de-soldiered to make things easier but if you don't have a soldier you are still able to access the lower PCB board if you need to change or modify your buttons.
