I replaced the screen on an iphone 2g 4gb and the phone did NOT turn on for about an hour. I kept messing with it and it randonly turned on but the battery was dead. now the battery is charging and then its on the apple logo, from the apple logo the phone just shuts off... then it turned back on once i plugged it in and it redid what just happened and now the phone will not turn on. any suggestions?

Gekozen oplossing

you need to recheck your battery connections and the dock connector. you may have damaged the battery solder points when you swapped the screens. you need to open the phone again and check the wires/solder points.

I might of damaged the battery while removing it. It was very difficult to separate it

Did it myself... It's a simple repair. You just need patience and a steady hand with a soldering iron.

+ and if you are like me I use a magnifying lamp so I can see if any of the solder or traces are short circuited by overflowing solder pads.
