Uh, so apparently the fix was much simpler than opening it up and dealing with hardware. I just used a paperclip and pushed the little pinhole button underneath the laptop to reset the battery, then plugged it into the charger. It started up with no issue, no more loud noise.

@michael5029 there may not be any visible damage but if you look carefully at your fanblade you see that there is a variation in fan speed. This may be caused by the fan itself as well as the tachometer on the motherboard. I'd replace the fan and re-evaluate before trying anything else.

Hi, is it possible that something in the bios could be causing it as well? Also what would I have to do if the tachometer was causing the problem?

that does not sound a like a BIOS issue. If it would have to do with your tachometer then you would need to find a schematic and go through the circuitry. Start with a new fan. The sound coming from your fan is quick and rhythmic to rule it out.
