@phoneerer could be a problem with the power management IC but it could also be a battery issue. Start by replacing the battery and then re-evaluate. Let us know what you get after you replace the battery.

It happens a lot to me with multiple devices.
Its not a big problem as long as you let it cool down a bit or just not use it while charging.
