Multiple problems after screen replacement
(1) When screen is on, there's backlight bleed: I can see the light from 5 LEDs along the edge of the screen. (At first, I thought he'd misaligned the replacement screen.)
(2) The screen turns off and won't come back on until I force restart (Home+Power)
(3) Digitizer is unresponsive around the edges. (I have to flip the screen-sometimes several times-to close a tab, type an "A", use spacebar, caps lock, or Enter.)
1 & 3 were immediately apparent after the screen replacement. 2 started a few days later. I ordered the screen + digitizer pre-assembled (without Home button) from a reliable vendor we've bought from before.
This is so frustrating, I can barely stand using it. Everything takes 3x longer. My husband was emboldened to try this by multiple successful cellphone screen replacements.
Questions:
Could (1 and 2) mean he could've accidentally burned the backlight filters? If so, are they replaceable, or is there a workaround? Will I be handing over our firstborn to Apple in exchange for repairs? Or, is my iPad bricked?
What could be causing 3?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

possibly a faulty lcd it happens, probably not the suppliers fault but you should ask for a replacement

Thanks, but it's too late for that, thanks to hubby's policy of aging everything. (In other words, he PROCRASTINATES.). It's going to a pro next. Strange, though, how the screen turns off and won't turn back on (which is WHY it's going to the shop).
