Unfortunately Android stock has stop working
Not only do I keep receiving "unfortunately Android stock has stopped working" I can no longer send pics or videos. Does anyone have a solution?

Go into phone settings and scroll down to apps. Tap to select apps. Then scroll down to stock android, and tap to select. Then tap to select notifications. You will see 4 switches on that screen. Turn all 4 switches to the off position. Then reboot your phone. If the pop-up is still there, go back into stock android settings and tap storage. Delete data storage and clear cache. After rebooting, you will need to set shortcuts back up on your home screen, but you shouldn't have any more problems.

What are the 4 switches ? I only have 3.

I did as you suggested but the only switch that wasn't on was contacts. I switched it on and rebooted my phone and it seems to be working so far. Why would contacts effect the system this way, I wonder.
None of that helped. It did seem to slow down the notification of it stopping.
The 4 switches are under "Notifications".
Thank you for the solution. The issue has been resolved. I started having the problem after I had installed the McAfee app, not realizing the phone already came with an antivirus. McAfee took over and ate memory, used up to 30% of battery life, and 'quite obviously' caused problems with core programing. So I removed the app, followed your instructions, and 'Voila!" Issue is resolved. Thank you for your helpful insight.

1/31/2018.... What I did below, didn't work. Bottom line... I just can't use widgets. Once I cleared the data in apps for Android Stock, it went away. It will only allow you to have what it came with.

Found a final resolution to "Stock Android Stopped Working"
Pretty much did what everyone did and none of them worked for me.
I realized that it had to do when I was setting up my shortcuts in Widgets
Resolution:
1. Go to settings and click on Apps
2. Scroll down to find Stock Android
3. Click on it
4. Now click on where it says Permissions
5. All 3 items need to have a check ✓ mark
For me my contacts was not checked off. Once I gave it permission... it went away. I redid my direct Dials and direct messages in widgets. It has not come back.
Hope this helps those frustrated as I was

I have the same phone and the same problem. I called the company and they said it's a software issue and there's nothing that can be fixed on it. They said I'd have to send it in and my company would have to give me a loaner phone. I talked to T-Mobile and they ended up giving me another phone that's also ZTE.. it was doing the same thing. So am I installed an App from the app Store I downloaded an automatic cache cleaned ,( cache cleaner 2018) and the problem has stopped for now. I like the phone but I hate this problem but so hopefully this helps.

Because they want us to waste more money if they were to just offer another system update it would fix the dang problem. Anyone else notice they stopped offering the system updates for this phone?

Hey out there, I followed your instructions, went to pH. Setting, go to apps. Scroll to stock Android and select, I just went to storage and deleted everything & cleared out cache, turned phone off, when I turned it back on it was like nothing ever happened, I got my phone back to normal, I thank everyone who gave me input, for me this system works, I hope it helps others.

This solution works. Try it you will be amazed. Here are the 3 simple steps.
1. Go to settings, scroll down to APPs
2. Scroll down to the (s') click on STOCKED ANDROID
3. Click on FORCED STOP, click on CLEAR DATA!
Close the settings App, and your done.
Your phone will work like new again.
Enjoy your life, we only get one life to live so make the best of it.

but the bad thing--you need rebuild your home screen

In most of the cases that is the some system file on device was infected by virus or deleted.So only solution is upgrade firmware of the phone is the solution.Try to firmware upgrade this may help you to tackle that fault.

Here's what fixed my phone after I did all the following...
Uninstalled apps, restarted phone too many times, and force stopped the stock Android app....a lot.
By accident I allowed my phone to completely die out...I mean I let the battery go completely dead....by mistake.
After I recharged the phone the problem went completely away...
What luck.

Tryed nope it's a p.o.s
I have 1 solution: download apps only, and delete shortcuts. I did this with 2 other phones of the same model and it fixed the issue.

gonna have to do a hard reset!
I have had my xte max pro for a year and a half.it just got a corrupted file to store.they said I needed a new phone.took to best buy the powered up the phone holding the up volume.went to shell screen asked for a hard reset. All data will be lost.you need to have everything saved though Google. Or you will lose all contacts and pics.you cannot undo it once you say yes.your phone will boot up. All restored

Thanks bud, for touching base with me so fast, I've been through this so many times it's sick bro... I've been hacked more than 27 times due to this so called sharing from what my buddy who works at entel told me! He said I should have known better than to buy the phone.. so, metro PC's got one last sucker, I'm very close to buying my new phone.. coming into some corn.. for privacy sake.. lol.. I'm going to get a darn good one. Thanks my friend, I'm glad there's still people out there who care.. take care now!
must do a hard reset or nothing will change at all my friend. same issue here i'm just debating on when to do this, my signal is so low nothing will download at all. but im stuck to! so i'm gonna just do it and let it roll see what happens? usually this is a 100%fix! can't hurt!

Change to another launcher will resolve the issue.
No reset needed. I changed to Microsoft launcher, the problem resolved permanently

Ok. so i got this message when I was playing roblox right? then i see this message saying this. i go back but then the message repeats itself. I have no other choice but to press OK. when i press it on my ZTE, the screen goes completely black. I can't do not one thing. pressing ok, back, or app manager (or that thing where you see all the apps and/or swipe it to close it) does nothing. pressing power off does nothing. I'm just helpless.

I am going through this right now in real time. Being nice by saying I am p'oed. about it, can't do the most important of things, like making a simple %#*@ phone call. Someone please help me!

Can't completely stop it, can slow the reoccurrence tho.
Settings, apps, stock Android, persmissions then block all or turn them off individually

I have done everything anyone has told me to nothing fixes the problem for the simple fact they want us to buy new phones they don't even have anymore system updates for this stupid p.o.s phone i use to love this phone till they stopped doing the system updates that's when everything went down hill and no pics u can't attach pics in a message along can not do any gif with this problem also. The company did this on purpose to make us keep buying phones every year! Wast of money!!!!

My phone just completely died. It won't turn on or do anything. All day it makes these strange noises like I have messages. Drops calls and automatically dials my voice mail. Its a piece of crap
