old question and this is just to clarify. Yes, you can change the lens if you need to replace it. You can only change it with the same type of lens. Here is the service manual for your camera that will show you how. Sony-DSC-H300.pdf

No you cannot changed t he e lense of this camera.The lense was screwed tightly to the body itself.
