How do I fix the right ear side when it completely broke?

So I have a Bose QuietComfort 35 and I know this is 25 but there's no guide of 35. Anyway, the right ear side, the piece that holds it together to make it turn light and right, it broke and now the right earpiece is just dangling around.

Pull the ear cushion and let get a better look. I'm specifically looking at the white looking ring around the bottom of the post attached to the upper piece. It looks like broken plastic to me and I would like to what it was attached to. All you may need is some super glue to rebuild it.

This guide should work: Bose QuietComfort 25 Ear Cushion Replacement

I tried this solution, superglued the broken part, worked for 2days and broke again. very hard to find this part for sale anywhere, and bose far as i know is just silent as always. not prepaired to "replace" a 2 yo pair of 400$ headphones

@bunnlose See if this is what you need, if not please post a photo of what is broken

@lazypanda sorry but you cannot fix this. There is always a chance of purchasing a broken set from online auction houses or local pawnshops, garage sales or wherever people try to get rid of their broken stuff. You can try and find a new yoke and replace that with yours. Of course if you know someone that can do 3D printing they could make one for you.

@oldturkey03 I own the 25. Why can't this be fixed? I keep changing the icon back to the 25 because is almost identical to the 35 and you kept changing it to a more generic?

door

@mayer I thought we were playing tug-of-war with that. My way of thinking was that it is better to list it as generic so that one does not get the devices confused between what is listed and what the OP describes. You are probably right and I will leave it as was.

I am not saying it can't, but not with conventional means. I've tried superglue, duct tape, fiberglass resin etc. and still it broke off again. So I find the repair lasting longer by replacing the complete yoke. they all should have stayed with metal yokes....

@oldturkey03 Mike, thanks for the explanation of the repair attempts. Sounds like a weak point in the post. I'm looking at my 25 and that joint is very different. If you super glued that whole plate down I don't know just how much functionality you would loose. If it's only the ability to put it in the case and it's in a static location, it might be an option.

weirdly I have the exact same problem with the right side. It did not fall or was pulled. I was trying to put it on just like I always do (owned the qc35 for 2 years now) and it just broke. Surely a design flaw.
