winstond17 power your tablet completely off. Then hold both the volume up button and the power button until the RCA logo appears on the screen. When the screen changes to the Android bot on his back, press and hold the power button and then press volume up once more. At this point, the Android System Recovery screen appears, with a list of options. Use the volume up and down buttons to navigate the menu and make selections accordingly. To reset the device, scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press the power button.

I no longer own my RCA tablet but before selling it I did a Factory Reset easily. Going from.memory, go to Settings. Open and read each Category there. In one of them is an Option saying “Factory Reset”. Skip the obvious ones like Display, Connections, Apps but I promise it is there. If any Category offers an Advanced option be sure to read that. Once you find Factory Reset, just click on it. If it asks if you are sure and warns you will lose all Data, etc, just cluck yes anyway. The tablet will turn off when reset is finished. When you turn it on, you will be at the initial Setup where you choose Language, Date/Time and so on. Follow the prompts and you will have a tablet all set to go. You will have to re-add any special apps that did not come factory installed. If you had files, documents, music or photos, put them on your SD card before doing the Factory Reset and remove card before doing Reset. When card is reinserted, your Files and Photos, etc can be moved back to hard drive if you wish. This is a simple fix. I am sorry I cannot remember exactly which Category the reset is under so you do not have to read all to find it. Good luck and enjoy. It is a good product if a bit slow as it only has 1G RAM not expandable. The USB and HDMI Port features make up for that. Worth your money!

The RCA Viling Pro tablet has a Factory Reset option under Settings. Just scroll through all options to find it. If you can turn on your tablet, you can reset it. It takes 3 minutes and reboots automatically. You begin again seting up tablet with Language choice, Wifi settings, etc.. I would tell you which place under Settings to go to bit I just reset mine to give it to a friend and do not want to gp through the Setup process to get to Settings to look as I need the process for friend. Good luck. It is idiot proof!

Update (06/22/2019)

I no longer own my RCA tablet but before selling it I did the Factory Reset easily. First move any Documents, Fileys, Music and Photos to an SD card and remove the card. Then go to Settings. Under one of the Categories there id a Factory Reset option. I cannot rmember which one so you will have to open each one and read options. You can skip the obvious ones like Connections, Display, Apps. If any Category offers an Advanced option be sure to read there. Once you find the Factory Reset option, click on it. It may tell you that you will lose all Data and ask if you are sure. Click yes. The tablet will do the reeset and yurn off. When you turn it back on, you will be at the initial Setup to choose Language, Set Date/Time and so on. Follow the prompts and you will have a clean working tablet. Reinstall any Apps you use that did not come preset in the tablet using Google Play Store. Reinsert SD card and move Documents, Files, Music or Photos to hard drive if you wish. Tablet is now in working order. It is a great product for the price. It is a bit slow as it only has 1 Gig RAM nom-expandable but the USB and HDMI ports make up for that. Enjoy!

I do all of that and it boots up but after entering English, the next screen says Just a sec.... which turns out to be a thousand years, because it's stuck on that screen forever.
