Did Apple bug the battery for your iPhone?

I repair mobile phones next to my studies on college and I have been watching the story about battery problems very closely. Especially for iPhone 6. People used to complain about their battery draining, but it used to have a reason, for example too many apps that drained it.

But since ios 10 it changed. Suddenly a massive amount of batteries just dropped out on 30% or 50%. When you plugged it in the wall charger, it would turn on again.

Now, why would I consider that Apple bugged the batteries? Because I have purchased a broken iPhone 6 from a customer which I am testing now to see if it holds. The phone had been laying in the drawer for more than a year AND is still running ios 8.0! iPhone 6 was released with ios 8.0. This means that the problem with the battery was already in the first versions for iPhone 6.

What do you guys think about it? I don't believe in

For peace of mind please use 3UTools to check battery information and health on a phone.

You will need the user to unlock his or her phone in order for the computer to access it.

(I am not sponsored by 3UTools :^)

Any time since I've used 3UTools to diagnose fast battery drain it always points to the battery just needing replacing.

Around 70% battery life (battery health) and less is where users of iPhone 6 will start noticing abnormally fast battery drain.

You may get one of those rare occasions where it is actually not caused by the battery and instead caused by software or a board level component issue.

It could be the unexpected shutdown issue defect which is seen on 6s.

If it's a iPhone 6 then it's most likely battery gone bad when it shuts down immediately near 20% and higher.

Not fast drainable but complete shutdown of the system is the big problem with iphone 6 devices. But thanks for the app, I didn't know it and it looks very useful!

Sadly when it comes to complete shut down issues it is 99% of the time caused by the battery and the 0.9% the power management chip on the board.

The last 0.1% is caused directly by software.

That's just how the batteries behave in the real world, not apple bugging your battery.

Certain batches of batteries were improperly manufactured, they don't take up load after some time of use. If the phone has burst loads, the voltage just drops and cause the phone to go on low battery or shutdown.
