Hi,

Placing a refrigerator flat on its back or side allows the oil in the compressor to flow into the 'cooling' line. If there is oil in the line the fridge will not cool.

Place the fridge in the normal upright position and allow it to stand for a minimum of 3-4 hours before you plug it in and try it.

If it was on its' back for a day or two, allow it to stand for at least 24 hours, before plugging it in. The longer you can leave it the better.

This will allow the oil to drain back into the compressor.

It may still take the fridge a day or three to get to normal operating temperature, even longer if it is filled with food.

Hi, Just don't turn it on and leave it for at least another 24 hours. You've got to give it time. Turning it on just forces the remaining oil which has not yet got back to the compressor to stay in the cooling pipe. Even then it may take at least a day to get properly cold.
