what is the polarity of this screw driver...a positive or negative...lost the adapter and purchase a universal ac adapter...butI need the polarity inorder to recharge...can you help????

While there is a 90% chance that the outer sleeve is negative, to be sure you might go on Amazon and ask the question of one of the reviewers that bought an adapter for it. If they have a volt meter they can tell you.

Got one at an estate sale and took a chance charging it with positive tip and it worked. I used 4.5 vdc @ 500 mah with positive tip and it took about an hour.
