My iMac iSight shows no display anymore, and fans are getting very noisy after 2 minutes(sometimes).
however Mac OS is still booting up fine: I can retrieve the data in target disk mode.
I tried reset pram, smu : no luck
which part should I replace?

Will it allow you to boot to a DVD or external hard drive? Or maybe you could do the target disk mode in the other direction, and try booting off the other Mac (assuming compatible OS)?
It does sound like a graphics or display failure, but try to rule out software first, which is what booting to another system will do.
