How do I unblock my phone if I forgot my password?
my phone is stuck at the password and i cant seem to remember what it is, any advice?

Hello Daniel Stott,
Simply you can enter to recovery mode by fallowing instuctions,
- Power off your device.
- Boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up and Power Button at the same time.
- Release all buttons when the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.
- factory reset your phone ( use volume keys to navigate)
- reboot phone
Now you are free to use your phone back
Note: All data will be lost

i tried doing that but my phone will not go into recovery screen

Sometimes google with offer reset option on lockscreen after few failed attempts, if not, hacking the password is only option other than full wipe restore, and I'm pretty sure hacking is out the question if on any current version of android.

Folow the steps in the video and it will work just fine i just unlocked my xperia z3 android 6.01

ps:
For the imei of the phone you can log in in to the guest user of the phone open the diler and tap *#06#
Also you need to unlock developer mode you do that using the same guest acount go to setings-about phone-build number and click on that 7 times
The proces will erase all the user data on the phone so be sure to back up your data

Yeah same, mine is a Sony Xperia Z1. I can't find anything to hard reset that without logging in, but I might of found one for the Z3:
1. Power your phone off
2. Hold volume down and the power button until the sony screen shows
3. Release
4. With the recovery screen showing, use the volume keys to scroll
5. Select 'Factory Data Reset' and use the power button to select
6. Select yes and wait

Yes it is Z3v but I'm not sure if it's different, it shouldn't be but I hope it helps.
