Fix Sattered Outer Screen
How do I fix just the shattered glass screen on a 5th generation iPod? Everything else is working fine?

Hi,
The external glass panel and the LCD are fused together and must be replaced together as one unit.
Follow this guide that explains how to replace the screen assembly. The guide also has links to the needed parts and tools necessary for the repair.

Buy the whole assembly.
I used to do glass only for 5/5c/5s when they were expensive, and from doing this, Even if you do get the glass off, you'll get LOCA glue in behind the LCD layers, even changing the backlight you have to make sure everything is crystal clear, really not worth the hassle!!!!
