My iPhone 5 needs to be plugged in to start up

Hi, I have just replaced the lcd on 2 iphone 5.

One of them is having a problem which I wouldnt think would be either a battery or port problem.

The phone charges fine and works fine but when it is powered off it will not reboot without being plugged in and says battery is flat.

When I plug it in it starts up and has a full battery that lasts days if not turned off.

Why is this happening when I power the phone down?

it is mostlikely a problem with the batter fpc connector or a small component near it that got ripped of while removing the battery.

Take a magnifier and slowly look for visible damage or missing components near the battery connector.
