Micro Soldering and Board-Level Repair
Heeft geantwoord op: iPhone 5S dead after U2 ic replacement.Try replacing the Q2 IC (4 PIN IC), right above it. You can harvest a good one from an old board, if you have one.
Heeft geantwoord op: Is it the baseband?error 1 and error 47 are completely baseband related and often occour after a waterdamage affecting the baseband area or a drop which might have damaged the connections between baseband IC and the logicboard. theese are the most difficult errors to repair and even tho many claim to repair it, I have yet to see someone repair the baseband for real. In many cases the baseband has to be reprogrammed which is super difficult since the machine you need for it is not available in Europe or US for sale. sorry, wish I could be of more help but it seems like your device is bricked. Some people try to heat the baseband area and do some crazy freezer stuff, but I would not recommend any of this. This is beyond a do it yourself repair
Heeft geantwoord op: Error 4013. Repair centre bricked my phone!short answear to your question: Was this error the repair shops fault ?: unlikely but... here comes the long answear: The error you are describing is often a result of a (heavy) drop which damaged(small cracks) the small solder points below the NAND chip (like the hard-drive) of your phone causing the phone to brick because it can no longer access the data of the phone. Now you might ask: But why did my phone still worked after the drop ? Well not all problems of a drop are immediately visible. Some show over time, when the problem gets worse. They appear with random crashes and some weird behavior. Under normal circumstance, the change of your screen will not have anything to do with your current problem unless the phone dropped heavy during the lcd repair, which might be unlikely. And yes error 4013 and 4014 is not related to LCD hope I could somehow bring some light into that matter forgive my english and my grammar greetings from Germany.
Heeft geantwoord op: Can I access photos/information from a water damaged iPhone 5c?sadly its not possible. The memory is soldered on to the logic board and can not transfered to another device without bricking it. Even if you manage to change the ic properly it will not work, since the nand ic is "married" to differnt parts onthe original board and will ask for a restore. Long story short...you can not do it. At least not in the way you suggested. But data recovery is possible by restoring part of the phone and recover the data. You need someone who really can handle a water damaged phones. Not many shops offer this service. You might have to search international and send your phone overseas, but you have of course to pay the cost, which will not be cheap. For example, in Germany/Europe, I charge about 150€. Not sure what the cost for that will be in your country. So ask yourself is it worth it, to your mother ? Even tho my answear might not be much of help, at least I might have saved you some time by telling you for sure: You can not transfer the data IC (with the data still available) to...
Heeft geantwoord op: iTunes error #1 and reflowingHey Josh, you will not like my answear but here it comes: error1 are one of the hardest problems to repair. As you already stated correctly the problem is most likely the baseband chips. You can not replace those, and damaging them with heat makes the whole phone useless. Why ? Apple tied different IC's together (NAND, Baseband, BB CPU) damaging one, means replacing all 3 of those which will end up in an phone you can only use for parts, when repairing waterdamaged phones. Most error 1 are caused by waterdamage (which you excluded) and by drops. So why not reflow ? 9 out of 10 reflows might end up worse than they were before you reflowed it. Its not like on a xbox or playstion where you heat a chip and hope the solder will melt and reastablish the connection with the board (not a good repair btw). Baseband IC'S are also glued, which will make any reflow of them useless. IF the reason for your baseband erorr is the baseband IC, then you would have to remove it entirely, remove all glue from board and IC, rebal...
Heeft geantwoord op: Bad backlight on water-damaged iPhoneyes but only by professionals and btw. Your dried Iphone is dying as we speak, since the corrosion keeps advancing since it has not been cleaned properly. My advise would be, get it to a professional or a new phone. If you decide to have it fixed, you have to hurry, the longer you leave it untreated the more complicated the repair itself.
Heeft geantwoord op: Doesn't recognize charger and charges VERY slowa few possiblities. You have a slit waterdamage and something is shorting the circuirt and draining the battery. Your battery is meeting the end of its live your doc connector is damaged (happens over time) or filled with gunk that needs to be removed I'm sure I forgot a few
