How to repair an iPhone 5c with no display and constant vibrating

My daughter dropped her iPhone. The iPhone 5c has a cracked screen with no display and vibrates when the battery is charged or is being charged. I tried resetting the phone but there is still no display and it stills vibrates. Besides replacing the screen, what can I do to repair the iPhone?

Disconnect battery for a few seconds, then reconnect it and the vibrating scenario will stop.

The metal shield was still in place before removing the screen (front panel). I removed the battery shield and disconnected the battery cable to stop the vibrating. The phone start to vibrate when the battery cable is connected after being unplugged for over five (5), fifteen (15) or even beyond thirty (30) minutes with the screen (front panel) still removed. The only thing I see that could be wrong is the black ribbon-like material covering the vibrator (I think) in the top left corner is loose and seem to be coming off. The screen has not been put back on while I'm trying to figure out what's causing the constant vibration.

Well, with the cables connected and a new screen installed, there is no display and the phone is still vibrating. Looks like I haven't accomplished anything so far.

You tried replacing the screen? Because that seems to be the only issue at this point, and the only way to fix the phone is to replace that broken screen.

There is a less likely but possible scenario: sometimes, if the phone has been repaired previously, the metal shield holding the screen connectors may have been left out. In which case, the drop caused them to detach from the board; reseating the screen cables will restore an image and the touch function IF the screen assembly is still functional despite being broken.

You can follow this guide to disconnect then reseat the cables. If there is still no image, you can then replace that screen assembly.
