Vertical lines on half the screen.

Is this fixable?

The left halve of the screen has vertical lines and images stayes after moving the windows before it slowly fades away. Also flickering.

Apple charges 2/3rd of the price of a brand new one which is totally unacceptable.

Is there a way to repair it myself?

Kind regards.

Ps: no warranty or any other help from Apple.

007rip, not seeing what you see and just going by your description, it sounds like a bad panel. You do want to disassemble your monitor and make sure all cables are still properly connected, but right now it appears to me like you will need a new display.

Thank you.

So you seem to know stuff.

I'm trying to replace my 27" Cinema Display's LCD but I'm unsure about compatible panels.

I need LM270WQ1(SD)(B1) but do other panels work too? Like the ones for the 27" iMac?

Btw, it's not the Thunderbolt-version.

Thanks!
