francisca lara, it is possible that it really is not charging. Check the charging port for any debris corrosion or bend/broken pins. You can try and clean it with some isopropyl alcohol and a few puffs of compressed air. You also want to try a different charger. Remember that the original charger has to have 1amp to charge, so you do want to double check that as well. If none of that works you could check the charging port to ensure it is still properly connected. You may try to resolder it or even replace it. Use these guides to work on your phone.
