I have a water damaged iPod Touch to fix, please read!

This Ipod will turn on except the screen is so dim you can barley tell it is on, and yes the brightness is all the way up. Do I just need to replace the screen? Thanks for any feedback!

Oscar Garcia, it is the LCD to contains to backlight, but the coil and the IC to supply the power to the backlight are on the logic board. You need to make sure that you cleaned the board as well as all the connectors properly. Use 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush for that. Replace your battery, reassemble your iPod and re-evaluate. If it is still dim, I would start by replacing the display assembly and work my way up from there. Hope this helps, good luck.
