Upgrade RAM to 6Gb in a 2133 iMac

Hi,

I'm interested in Upgrading my iMac 20" Mid 2007 EMC2133, and in this review I read it's possible to 6GB

"iMac Intel 20" EMC 2133 and 2210 RAM Replacement

but in other places, like Crucial, a read that model only can be upgrade to 4Gb.

Which is the correct size?.

thanks a lot!

I have an iMac 1224 early 2008 20". It has 4GB DDR2 SD Ram 667MHz and is 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Serial Number W881442YZE2. It won't take 8GB but I found out over the net it could take 6 GB. Does that mean I put 2 x 4 GB in, and it doesn't register the full 8 GB only 6 GB or do I put one 2 GB and one 4 GB?

Please Advice/

Alice

*Apple officially supports 4 GB of RAM, but third-parties have been able to upgrade the system to 6 GB of RAM using one 2 GB and one 4 GB memory module.

Supports 667 MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM (200-pin SO-DIMM).

Can't I use 800mhz with my 2007 iMac 2133

door

Can I use 800mhz instead of 667 MHz doesn't have a 800mhz socket

You could give the DDR2 800MHz (PC2-6400) CL6 SODIMM 200-Pin a shot, might be cheaper.
